The 16 NCAA baseball super regional teams, re-ranked

The 16 college baseball super regional teams in 2026, re-ranked

Sixty-four teams down to 16 in NCAA baseball. I re-ranked the remaining 16 teams in the tournament, taking their original seeding by the committee and re-ranked or moved them based on regional play.

1. Georgia

With both UCLA and Georgia Tech eliminated, it only made sense for the Dawgs to move into the top spot, especially after smooth sailing through their regional with hot bats and stellar pitching all weekend.

2. North Carolina

The Tar Heels looked really good, shut out VCU and then beat East Carolina twice. They looked pretty dominant in the regional final, scoring eight of their nine runs in a hurry in the first three innings.

3. Texas

Texas is up to No. 3 after cruising to the regional finals. Anthony Pack Jr. homered three times in Game 1. Aiden Robbins hit .429 with four homers, nine RBIs and delivered the two-run go-ahead homer versus Santa Barbara in the final.

4. Mississippi State

Mississippi State takes a huge jump to No. 4. The Bulldogs looked really good in the regionals. Tomas Valincius had a 10-strikeout performance and Jacob Parker was automatic, hitting .700 with three homers.

5. Auburn

Auburn drops a spot to 5 after having to make its way out of the loser's bracket with an opening loss to Milwaukee. The Tigers to win four games after that and got it done at the plate as Chase Fralick hit six homers on the weekend.

6. Alabama

Alabama at 6, up a spot from their original seeding after scoring over 20 runs on Day 1, then winning the regional final in extra innings as Brady Neal smashed a three-run home run in the 11th to send them to the supers.

7. Oregon

The Ducks are up to No. 7 after a pretty impressive regional showing. Will Sanford had a 14 strikeout performance, and they had to go through rival Oregon State in the regional final.

8. Kansas

Kansas is up from No. 15 to No. 8 after taking down a tough Arkansas team โ€” twice. The Razorback offense put up 13 runs in the regional final. Tyson LeBlanc hit .455 with 3 bombs.

9. Ole Miss

Ole Miss goes from unseeded to No. 9 โ€” a big jump here, advancing out of a tough regional in Lincoln. The Rebels had to go through Nebraska and Arizona State to advance to the supers.

10. West Virginia

At 10, West Virginia jumps from their original seed (15). The Mountaineers dropped Game 2 to Kentucky and then still made it out. The Mountaineers had to rely on a walk-off single in the 10th inning to advance and now are hosting a super.

11. Southern California

USC enters from not seeded to No. 11. The Trojans lost on Day 1 to Texas State but then the bats came alive, taking down Texas A&M twice and convincingly so. For a team that has been known for pitching, they put up massive numbers offensively all weekend, a really good sign heading into supers.

12. Oklahoma

Oklahoma with one of the biggest upsets, forcing an if necessary game and then walked off No. 2 Georgia Tech. The Sooners needed it all. LJ Mercurius was clutch on the mound twice, Deiten LaChance was big time at the plate and Dayton Tockey hit the walk-off.

13. Troy

Troy is in the supers and in the re-rank at No. 13. The Trojans took down Florida twice to advance to their first super. Jabe Boroff actually dominated against the Gators.

14. Cal Poly

Next I have Cal Poly at 14 advancing out of the UCLA region. The Mustangs did not have to play the No. 1 seed to advance, but they beat Virginia Tech and Saint Mary's. Closer Nick Bonn threw two perfect innings in the regional final.

15. St. John's

Catcher Adam Agresti hit a grand slam in the regional final to lift his team to an upset of Florida State, one of two 4 seeds to advance to supers.

16. Little Rock

And finally, Little Rock at 16. The Trojans were the second 4 seed to advance, taking down Southern Miss in a come-from-behind victory in their regional and beating Jacksonville State. They are advancing to their first super as well versus Troy.
