The NCAA Division I women's volleyball committee will reveal its in-season top 16 teams on Sunday, Oct. 19 during the 1 p.m. ET Pittsburgh vs. Louisville match on ESPN. Follow live updates from the top-10 match here.
This is the second time that the in-season rankings will include 16 teams, as the committee revealed its top 10 teams before 2024. The in-season reveal shows fans which teams could potentially earn seeds when the tournament bracket is officially revealed on Sunday, Nov. 30.

The 2025 DI women's volleyball championship semifinals and championship will be held on Dec. 18 and Dec. 21 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The first semifinal match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, Dec. 18 with the second match starting 30 minutes after the first concludes. The national championship is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 21.
Sunday's top-16 rankings are based on the criteria used to select and seed the 64 teams for the volleyball championship. It includes strength of schedule, Rating Percentage Index, head-to-head competition, results versus common opponents, significant wins and losses and locations of contests. Input is also provided by the regional advisory committees for consideration by the Division I women’s volleyball committee.
