We tracked all the undefeated teams during the 2024 college football season.
Oregon was the final undefeated FBS team until Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025, when Ohio State beat the Ducks in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals. The Ducks started off the season 13-0, winning the Big Ten Championship Game over Penn State, earning the top seed in the first 12-team CFP. Oregon was in search of its first undefeated season since 1916 when it when 7-0-1.

The final undefeated teams to fall before Oregon were Indiana, Army and BYU. Ohio State took down Indiana from the undefeated ranks and Notre Dame routed Army on Saturday, Nov. 23. A week earlier, Kansas handed BYU its first loss, 17-13.
