The 2017 SEC Championship Game will be held in a first-year venue this winter as Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium will host the conference championship.

The game is scheduled for Dec. 2, with kickoff set for 4 p.m. ET. Alabama has won the SEC Championship Game in each of the last three seasons and then continued on to the College Football Playoff. The Tide won't get a shot for a fourth straight conference title this year.
Auburn defeated No. 1 Alabama 26-14 in the 82nd Iron Bowl. The win clinched the SEC West and a spot in the SEC Championship Game, where the Tigers will play Georgia. The Bulldogs clinched the SEC East with a win over South Carolina in Week 10.
