2024 DI cross country regional recap, auto bids 🎟
All nine of the 2024 DI cross country regional championships were held Friday, Nov. 15. Teams competed for regional titles and an automatic bid to the DI national championships. We saw over seven hours of continuous cross country races, with big names stepping up to deliver championship-level performances. Check out the results below.

Automatic bids
The top two finishing teams in each regional secure automatic bids to the championship. Here are the automatic qualifying teams.

The first four regional finishers not from an automatic qualifying or at-large team also secure an auto-bid to the championships. While the at-large teams won't be decided until the selection show at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 16, here's a look at the top four finishers from non-AQ teams in each region.

RESULTS - Mountain regional men: Texas Tech's Solomon Kipchoge, BYU team wins titles
Texas Tech's Solomon Kipchoge won the men's individual title, finishing the Mountain regional in 28:55.9. BYU won the team title with runners finishing 4-6-8-9-25. New Mexico finished second with runners in 2-7-10-16-26 to secure the second automatic qualifying bid.

RESULTS - West regional men: Washington State's Evans Kurui, Washington team wins titles
Washington State's Evans Kurui won the men's individual title, finishing the West regional in 28:53.7. Washington won the team title with runners finishing 7-9-14-15-21. Oregon finished second with runners in 5-8-11-16-28 to secure the second automatic qualifying bid.

RESULTS - Mountain regional women: New Mexico's Pamela Kosgei, BYU team wins titles
New Mexico's Pamela Kosgei won the women's individual title, finishing the Mountain regional in 19:30.9. BYU won the team title with runners finishing 5-8-9-10-20. Northern Arizona finished second with runners in 4-6-15-17-23 to secure the second automatic qualifying bid.

RESULTS - West regional women: Stanford's Amy Bunnage, Oregon team wins titles
Stanford's Amy Bunnage won the women's individual title, finishing the West regional in 19:17.1. Oregon won the team title with runners finishing 2-3-7-12-22. Stanford finished second with runners in 1-6-13-16-35 to secure the second automatic qualifying bid.

RESULTS - Mid-Atlanic regional men: Villanova's Liam Murphy, Wildcats team win titles
Villanova's Liam Murphy won the men's individual title, finishing the Mid-Atlanic regional in 29:22.8. Villanova also won the team title with runners finishing 1-2-9-13-25.
Princeton and Georgetown tied for second with 80 points each, but the Tigers won the tiebreaker and the automatic qualifying bid with their top-three runners crossing the line first.

RESULTS - Midwest regional men: Oklahoma State's Denis Kipngetich, Cowboys team win titles
Oklahoma State's Denis Kipngetich won the men's individual title, finishing the Midwest regional in 28:51.5. Oklahoma State also won the team title with runners finishing 1-2-5-6-11. Iowa State finished second with runners in 3-4-10-12-14 to secure the second automatic qualifying bid.

RESULTS - Northeast regional men: Harvard's Graham Blanks, Syracuse team win titles
2023 DI cross country men's individual champion Graham Blanks will get a chance to defend his title in 2024 after he won the Northeast regional individual title in 29:34.65.
Syracuse won the team title, finishing 2-8-18-19-28. Harvard finished second with runners in 1-10-15-35-36 to secure the second automatic qualifying bid.
RESULTS - Great Lakes regional men: Butler's William Zegarski, Notre Dame team win titles
Butler's William Zegarski won the men's individual title, finishing the Great Lakes regional in 29:12.7. Notre Dame swept the team titles, with the men finishing 5-10-13-18-24. Wisconsin finished second with runners in 14-15-16-17-20 to secure the second automatic qualifying bid.

Oklahoma's Leah Jeruto won the women's individual title, finishing the Midwest regional in 19:42.9. Oklahoma State won the team title with runners finishing 4-7-10-13-27. Minnesota finished second with runners in 2-11-15-16-32 to secure the second automatic qualifying bid.

West Virginia's Ceili McCabe won the women's individual title, finishing the Mid-Atlantic regional in 19:11.2. The Mountaineers also won the team title with runners finishing 1-6-10-11-13. Georgetown finished second with runners in 2-5-16-17-18 to secure the second automatic qualifying bid.

Virginia Tech's George Couttie won the men's individual title, finishing the Southeast regional in 29:41.7. Virginia won the team title, with the women finishing 8-9-17-19-26. North Carolina finished second with runners in 5-6-21-22-31 to secure the second automatic qualifying bid.

RESULTS - Great Lakes regional women: Toledo's Mercy Kinyanjui, Notre Dame team wins titles
Toledo's Mercy Kinyanjui won the women's individual title, finishing the Great Lakes regional in 19:29.7. Notre Dame won the team title with runners finishing 3-5-9-14-20. Wisconsin finished second with runners in 12-16-17-22-30 to secure the second automatic qualifying bid, holding off Toledo by three points.

RESULTS - Northeast regional women: UConn's Chloe Thomas, Providence team wins titles
UConn's Chloe Thomas won the women's individual title, finishing the Northeast regional in 19:23.09. Providence won the team title with runners finishing 3-4-5-10-29. Syracuse finished second with runners in 9-17-19-28-32 to secure the second automatic qualifying bid.

RESULTS - South Central regional men: Arkansas' Kirami Yego, Razorback team win titles
Arkansas' Kirami Yego won the men's individual title, finishing the South Central regional in 29:09.4. The Razorbacks also won the team title, with the men finishing 1-2-3-11-12.
Tulane finished second, just one point behind Arkansas, with runners in 5-6-8-21-30 to secure the second automatic qualifying bid. It's the second time in program history that the Green Wave made the NCAA final site championships as a team and the first since 1998.
